Sounds from the Bardo Vol. I : Experience!

This is not a song – this is a psychedelic experience.

Last time we talked to Prana Crafter, he was writing his PhD dissertation on psychic communication in music. Makes perfect sense that he’d partner with the “misfit seekers” that make up Psychedelic Sangha, an NYC-based collective that offers peer-supported psychedelic experimentation, and hosts soundbaths, guided meditation, and spiritual arts programming.

“Sounds from the Bardo” is a new album-based series of immersive journeys produced by Psychedelic Sangha. Each ‘transmission’ is a unique sensory adventure featuring ~ 1 hour of guided meditation, exclusive music and accompanying video light show.

Prana Crafter has collaborated with meditation guide Erik Davis and visual artist Aubrey Nehring to create a multi-dimensional, multi-layered, multi-media experience. The meditation and cosmic jam are 50 minutes each, providing a remote, “packable” alternative to the collective’s in-person “Bardo Bath” series. Seekers can experience the offerings as they wish.

“In 1966 Drs. Richard Alpert, Timothy Leary, and Ralph Metzner released The Psychedelic Experience, an album designed to be used as an audio guide for navigating the inner space of the bardo. ‘Bardo,’ in this case, being Tibetan for the liminal space of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep—a hypnagogic state wherein the mind is untethered from the body and free to experience new ways of engaging in sensory experience.”

Knowing who these guys hang around with, looking forward to future transmissions!
