kintsugi – “Let Me Show You”
Good morning, please enjoy this track from brother-sister duo kintsugi, aka Kessiah and Stephan Gordon, who created a beautiful album Life in Death honoring their mother, out July 14th. The lead single was written shortly after her death in 2019 and the pair began listening to music, and then writing together, as a means of processing their grief. The end result is an intimate, moving dialog that serves as a reminder that minimal production can also evoke and express the heaviest of emotions. Softly sweeping synth and strings, classical grand piano and conversational acoustic guitar nod to their ancestry, honoring all those who have come and passed before them.
