Kareeta – Buttons

Today the newly-formed band Kareeta premieres the first single, “Buttons” from their upcoming self-titled debut album.

Kareeta rose from the swamps and southern delta heat during the uncertain spring of 2020. Emerging as a fully formed amalgamation of the music that shaped its core, the band settled out west in California and recorded its debut LP with producer and musician Greg Loiacono at the controls. The music is an all-night drive pushing you deeper into the dial with broken characters and stories of red sky redemption silhouetting every ache.

The bandmembers, including Chuck Harris on vocals and lyric-writing duties, Jon Siembieda on guitar, Brian Lara on drums, and Aaron Barnes on guitar & bass, are all deeply passionate music heads, and adept at playing a wide variety of genres. With Mother Hips co-founder and singer/guitarist Greg Loiacono at the controls, these dudes are producing a particular blend of soulful, special California country magic.

‘Buttons’ was one of the first tunes from Kareeta’s demos that really stood out to me. The lyrics in particular are so strong, and paint such a vivid picture. The dobro melody is just fantastic – it hooks you in right at the top. The band is excellent both in the studio and live. I’m excited for folks to hear their music.”

Greg Loiacono

“Buttons” was produced by Greg Loiacono, recorded at Coyote Hearing Studios, engineered by Charles James Gonzalez, mixed by David Simon-Baker, and mastered by Anthony Pugilisi. Special guests include Danny Eisenberg on piano, and Greg Loiacono on background vocals and guitar.

The song is only available on Bandcamp – buy it here.
