Our favorite cosmic cowboy has been quiet for a minute but as promised, he wasn’t working on something out of this world. Along with his futureheaded band NASA Country, the final installment of the “Shadows Trilogy,” People Are Beautiful, sounding like Texas Tornadoes-meets-NEU! with their out-of-this-world sound drawing on classic country tropes, and modular space age vibes, and Capps’s eccentric but grounded, clever lyricism, to create a sound all their own.
